The house of Jean d'Aigle was born in 1945 with the Cologne Cyprus, a Mediterranean, exotic and alpine mix. Curious and in love with nature, it has always been for its founder, Jean Soutter, an obvious source of inspiration.
He grew up in the village of Aigle where, from a very early age, he made herbariums listing the shapes, smells and textures of plants.

Convinced that Nature and Man are complementary, he wanted to create eaux de Cologne that embodied this alchemy.
For over 75 years, in our workshops, we have been assembling and brewing essences by hand.
After 4 weeks of maceration, they are then filtered in the old-fashioned way, without glaciation, giving our Colognes all their strength and authenticity.
